Basics:
In the broader sense, Cue to Recall is an electro-pop band. The music is made of synthetic sounds and samplings. Guitars lack. Influences range from bands as Covenant, Apoptygma Berzerk, Projekt Pitchfork, The Human League, to Bauhaus and David Bowie, just to name a few. Due to Terje's clean, strong voice, the emphasize on melody and energetic dancefloor beats and the tradition of some of the bands mentioned above, it seems natural to use the term futurepop rather than anything else. Frequently Bernd likes to experiment with the nearby genres, Electronic Body Music, Wave, Synthpop and Electro in a comprehensive manner. Melodies, lyrics and composition cover a rich palette of emotions. Terjes lyrics have a lot of metaphores and are engaged in the mystics of everyday life.

May the music inspire, may it give perspective, may it make sense in people's busy lifes!

History:
Cue to Recall were founded 13th of January 2000 in Oslo. Terje put an advertisement in Musikkpraksis magazine which was answered by Bernd.
After a rather experimental start, May 2000 the bandname Cue to Recall was chosen, inspired by a book on learning theory. One of the first songs which should be getting recognition, Coming Thru, was written in summer 2000. From this time the music found its way into several compilation CDs. Their first gig was at Pigalle (Oslo) - a famous old Nightclub - 18th of May 2001. April 2002 female synthplayer and 2nd vocals, Kristine Bogstad joined in, but left again in november 2002. Terje and Bernd continue Cue to Recall.

9th of nov. 2002 Cue to Recall played at Oslo Synth Festival and received broad public recognition.

4th of october 2003 Cue to Recall are headliners at Norwegian Synth Night at the Honigfabrik in Hamburg, Germany, where they provided an unforgetable experience to the audience.

5th of march 2004 was the first concert in Sweden arranged by Club Nuclear Nation in Linköping.

February 2005 Cue to Recall signs to the german label Electro-Shock-records.

Two unforgetable concerts were provided by Cue to Recall in october 2005. They rocked the KIR club in Hamburg at a benefiz concert for the german cancer aid.  In Neubrandenburg, the Studio Musikclub was sold out, when ca. 40 fans from Stettin (Poland) came with a rented bus, and members of the german bands P24, Minerve, Melotron and friends joined the audience.

12th of nov. 2005 Cue to Recall played at Elektrostat, that means the former Oslo Synth Festival for the second time.

At SAMA 2006 (Swedish Alternative Music Awards) Cue to Recall were nominated in the category "Best scandinavian newcomer of the year 2005" along with 5 other scandinavian bands.

Lately in 2006 Cue to Recall participated on the DNF Festival (Deutsch-Norwegische-Freundschaft").
Calyx Records arranged 2 DNF concerts in Germany with Cue to Recall, Zensor (N), P24 (D) and Orpheé (D), with Kash (D) as a special guest, while Cue to Recall was responsible for the norwegian DNF-concert in Oslo.

January 2007 Cue to Recall left Electro-Shock-records.

November 2007 Cue to Recall is finished.
